The Council of the Faculty of Biology advises that a PhD thesis prepared as a thematically coherent series of articles consists of at least two original articles published in journal listed in Web of Science and/or Scopus.

The recommended form of the PhD thesis:

  • Title page (available here: http://www.wb.uj.edu.pl/stopnie_tytuly/doktoraty)
  • Abstract
  • General introduction including the objective, hypotheses, research procedure; up to 15 printed pages
  • Scholarly articles
  • Co-authors statements declaring individual contribution in percentage and short substantial
  • justification
  • General discussion; up to 15 printed pages
  • Bibliography – sources used in the general introduction and general discussion.
